Hoof Boots

I have experience in measuring and applying hoof boots.

I am not a representative of the following companies I mention, nor am I a boot dealer. I am there to trim, measure the hoof for a proper fit and discuss topics about the hoof and boots with the owner, telling the owner about my positive experience with the following products. However, if I do see that the horse is in need of boots immediatelyI will rent a pair or sell a pair of boots that I have in my inventory.

Please, before calling me out to the farm to remove shoes off of your horse, know that I will not remove the shoes knowing that the horse would be limping around after that. Doesn't matter what the situation is, even if your horse is sound after removing shoes, I will require you to get the boots for your horse.

YOUR HORSES COMFORT IS IMPORTANT TO ME!

prefer using the Easycare Gloves for the horses but at times these boots will not fit the hooves of certain horses. When I see that the Easycare Gloves will not fit the horse, I explain what boots will fit ones' horse based on the situation I see. I have a few brands in stock in my truck so we'll discuss it from there.

For extreme rehab cases, I recommend using the Easycare Cloud Boots. These boots are best used for extreme rehab cases such as laminitis, founder, navicular, very thin soles, P3 Rotation, etc.

If you are my client, I do not charge boot fitting. If you're not my client and im there at your place for only one time, then I charge 40$ per horse for fitting

At times we need to make major adjustments to snuggly fit the boots. Heat fitting them will help in extreme cases. I heat the rubber boot with a heat gun and apply it to the hoof properly. I charge +20$ per horse for heat fitting in addition to the 40$ fitting fee

I've had amazing experiences with the Easyboot Glove. In a lot of instances, if it is fitted correctly, it would be an amazing protection for the horse while performing or trail riding. With proper fitting and usage, one pair could last for years!

Why Hoof Boots?

Unlike metal shoes, rubber hoof boots can flex in any way. This is an amazing thing when it comes to following proper biomechanics of the hoof since the hoof is getting flexed and stimulated by the ground. Metal shoes are 2,000+ years old. Isn't it time to switch to something modern? Isn't it time to switch to something that is scientifically proven to help properly stimulate the hoof?

Hoof boots are the answer to these questions! They are the horseshoes of the 21st century.

Some say:
"I tried hoof boots before. They either fell off the hoof or rubbed the skin"

The most important thing with any shoe in the human world is proper fit. I humans get a bigger size shoe for themselves, it will fall off. If it will be a size smaller, it will be too tight and rub the foot.

Same thing in the horse world. If the hoof boot is improperly fitted and applied, it will be a nightmare for owners. this is why its handy to have a person who can properly measure and tell the owners about getting the right boot for their horse.

Please note! Hoof boots are fitted only on a trimmed hoof. It is impossible to fit any boot properly on an overgrown, untrimmed hoof.

Theres a lot of little things to consider when buying and measuring hoof boots. Should the hoof be trimmed more often? Should the boots have pads to support? Should I heat fit the boot? What if the hoof has flares? Can this boot stay on without a strap for a competition or race?

Pads and Insoles

With many horses I recommend using padded insoles inside the hoof boot. It provides the hoof with an extra layer of protection when it's in the boot. Horses that are being ridden after pulling shoes are required to wear the pads inside the boot. The pads help the sole and frog to be stimulated and thus be stronger with every step!
